Mental Health First Aid
As an accredited Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Instructor, I deliver evidence-based training designed to equip individuals and workplaces with the knowledge and skills to recognise, respond to, and support people experiencing mental health challenges.

Training options available:

Standard MHFA (2-day course) – Face-to-face delivery

Blended MHFA for the Workplace – Online learning combined with a facilitated session

Standard MHFA Refresher (4-hour course) – Face-to-face delivery for those renewing their certification
​
Participants who complete the full training are eligible to complete an assessment to become Certified Mental Health First Aiders, who are recognised for a period of three years.
The Refresher course is designed for those whose accreditation is due for renewal and who wish to maintain their certification and skills for another three years.

These courses are ideal for promoting psychological safety, reducing stigma, and building confidence in providing early support to someone in distress.

Become an Accredited Mental Health First Aider
The Standard Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course is a nationally accredited training program.
Participants who complete the full course are eligible to undertake an online assessment to become a Certified Mental Health First Aider, recognised by Mental Health First Aid Australia.
Successful accreditation is valid for a period of three years.

1. What is Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)?
Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based training course that teaches participants how to recognise the signs of common mental health conditions, provide initial support, and guide individuals to appropriate professional help.

2. Who is the training suitable for?
The course is designed for adults aged 18 and over from all walks of life. It is especially useful for individuals in leadership, HR, frontline, community-facing, or caregiving roles — but no prior mental health knowledge is required.

3. Do I have to become an accredited Mental Health First Aider after completing the course?
Not at all. While participants have the option to complete an online accreditation assessment to become a Certified Mental Health First Aider, this is not compulsory.
Those who complete the Standard MHFA course but choose not to undertake the assessment will receive a Certificate of Completion issued by Mental Health First Aid Australia.

4. Will I receive a certificate?
Yes. Upon completing the full Standard MHFA course, participants will receive either:

A Certificate of Completion, or

A Certificate of Accreditation (if the online assessment is completed successfully).
Accreditation is valid for 3 years.

5. What is the Refresher course for?
The Refresher course is for those whose MHFA accreditation is about to expire. It helps participants renew their certification and update their skills, extending accreditation for another 3 years.

6. Can I book as an individual or as part of a group?
