About Bilingual Psychology by Lin Tan
Hi, I’m Lin, a registered psychologist, marriage counsellor, leadership coach and Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) instructor. I hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Applied Psychology and am currently registered with the Psychology Board of Australia as well as a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

As the founder of Bilingual Psychology, I envisioned my practice as a means to support individuals navigating life in more than one language—particularly English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese). Over time, this vision expanded into a broader approach that values not only bilingual communication but also the deeper layers of diversity, inclusion, and cultural understanding.

Bilingual Psychology now provides a space where individual, relational, and workplace mental health are approached with respect for cultural identity and lived experiences. I collaborate with adults, couples, families, professionals and leaders in organisational settings to help them develop sustainable strategies for managing life’s challenges—whether in personal relationships or within complex work environments.

My work is grounded in empathy, openness, and collaboration. I support clients facing challenges such as anxiety, stress, relationship issues, leadership fatigue, and cross-cultural transitions. Whether you seek therapy, guidance through a life transition, or leadership support in a demanding role, I offer a safe, compassionate space to explore what matters most—always honouring your context and your story.
I offer services in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, believing that healing and growth are most effective when they honour the complete cultural and psychological experience of the individual or system involved.
